I would much rather garden than try to understand the intricacies of my computer. Honestly, I just want things to work the way they are supposed to, whether it’s a computer or a coffee pot. Unfortunately, there are times when the wondrous world of technology breaks down and we have to either fix it or call the geek squad. Calling the geek squad is fine when one has the time to wait for their arrival. This week, well into late spring planting season, waiting for the geeks wasn’t an option. I just started replacing batteries in wireless devices, shutting down and restarting the computer, and talking sternly to the monitor. When none of those actions produced the desired result, I went to Best Buy and bought a new mouse. Finally, after overcoming my urge to throw something, my computer is back in proper working order so I can write a new post!
The weather has been perfect this week for planting in the Twelve Tribes Garden. Several faithful gardeners have labored with me the past three days, weeding, preparing new bedding areas, and planting. We have planted fig, pomegranate, and desert willow trees; dwarf wax myrtle, Indian hawthorn, and cleyera shrubs, and a variety of perennials and annuals. The bridge between Ephraim and Asher is complete. The pathway from the Threshing Floor is well underway. The arbors in Reuben and over the Threshing Floor were started today. And new areas of the garden are being defined every day. Throughout the workday, visitors come to the garden to walk, to pray, and to fellowship. The presence of the Lord and the love of His people in this place are a delight to experience.
After I came home this evening and cleaned up from a day of playing in the dirt, Chuck and I returned to the garden. That’s when I took these pictures. Enjoy the tour!

I am always amazed at the photo’s you show us of the garden. I love all your ideas and what you are doing in each tribe. I wish I was there to garden with you! I love gardening! Monday I planted ground cover and some plants then mulched it all. The next day I re-seeded my tiny patch in front of my condo. Thinking of putting it on the market and praying for God to confirm it and where I am to go. I’d love to come out to G.O.Z. such a big move and where would I live as I get started out there? I work at Bed Bath and Beyond and last time I attended Head of the Year I checked out that store in Denton and thought of a possible transfer until other opportunities opened. Why am I writing all this to you? And is it you Pam reading this or someone else asking the same thing?! Why is she writing all this…..
You are all doing a great job. The gardens are BEAUTIFUL!!!

Beautiful! A friend and I came out Monday evening and walked the gardens and prayed and admired the handiwork of the Lord. Such peace prevails over the gardens! Thank you to you and your faithful crew for your hard work and hours of “playing in the dirt”! 🙂

Gardens are looking fantastic.
Isn’t it fun and so refreshing playing in the dirt and then watching what you and God have done as He brings it to life.
I so love playing in the dirt with Him. He speaks to me so much when I am there.
Then when the flowers are growing and blooming, we are not the only ones who get to enjoy it. Our backyard is a peaceful haven for us as well as the many birds who come to the feeders and water, plus the butterflies who come lay their eggs and than hang around to take advantage of the different flowers they enjoy.

Pam, I’ve enjoyed watching and keeping up with the progress of the garden. Excellent Job. Billy Joe and I (Ruthie) will be coming to the Global Spheres meeting (but will not be able to stay for Pentecost Celebration because of a family wedding).
As I have watched the progress, I have wondered if there would be a place for a magnolia tree (Mississippi) from Corinth, Mississippi? If so, we could bring it in June and give it to you then. If not, (I don’t know much about planting trees) We could bring it when we come at Tabernacles. If this will not work that is ok too.

I would love to have a magnolia from Corinth, Mississippi, for the garden. Magnolias are native to southeast and east Asia as well as most of North, Central, and South America. They are an ancient species, and as such would be a lovely addition to the garden. Even though they are not native to Israel, we all know who designed and created the first ones, don’t we? I look forward to receiving and planting the tree when you come. Thank you!

I am amazed at how the garden is coming together. I have loved gardening since doing it with my Grandmother as I grew up. Bless you and all those that have been planning, plowing, planting, building, etc. It looks great! Someday I hope to get out to Texas to visit the garden.

Great progress!! Well done team! Is the threshing floor/chuppah going to be where weddings may take place? Will there be plants/trees planted behind it, so the backdrop isn’t of the building/fence (for wedding pictures/ceremony, etc.)?

Hah ha ha… about the coffee pot NOT WORKING!!! Grrr. So instead of getting angry I am simply fasting coffee until Pentecost. Small thing but really actually HUGE to me. I used to say I just don’t know who I’d be without my coffee. I like me. I like you and the garden-very much.
Keep up the good work and don’t feel like you have to post, we know you are working hard and when you can get to it , you will give us another glimpse of His unfolding majesty.
