Another Before and After

Many visitors to the garden during the Pentecost conference last week had not been to the garden since last May.  Looking at the garden through their eyes prompted me to go back to last May’s photos and put together this post.  And so, as the month of May draws to a close, I want to share another photographic “before and after” with you.  Enjoy the changes!

Garden Tour 2012

Since before Passover, the garden crew has worked hard preparing to present the Israel Prayer Garden to a whole new group of visitors: the people of Denton County, Texas.  Last Saturday, new visitors arrived in a steady stream from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Many people who live within a few miles of the garden said, “We didn’t even know this was here!”  Those of us who are privileged to work in the garden every day felt like proud parents introducing their child to the world.  What a wonderful opportunity it was to share our vision and enthusiasm with the community!

For those of you who are unable to visit the garden in person, I walked through the garden on Thursday morning taking pictures.  Here, then, is what over 300 visitors enjoyed on Saturday during the annual Denton County Master Gardener Tour.

Blessings!
