Two weeks ago, on an uncharacteristically warm February day, I went for a walk on the new Glory of Zion property in Corinth, Texas. Tucked behind a portable building that will one day house a new kitchen facility and Servant’s House is the skeletal framework of the Twelve Tribes of Israel Prayer Garden. Hidden by years of neglect and overgrowth I saw what will, one day, be a place of beauty, contemplation, prayer and community.
I believe we all enjoy watching a project unfold. I find it hard to resist those “before and after” photos on the internet, especially when they involve a changing landscape. For that reason, I took a series of photographs of the garden space as it was in February 2011 so that we would all be able to appreciate the changes that will be taking place over the next weeks, months, and years.
I will be updating this blog regularly with information, pictures, plans and work opportunities.

Pam thank you so much for your blog, I always receive so much from you and I look forward to what God gives to you concerning The prayer garden. Transformation is what God is doing in all of our lives and the Land, I appreciate the before pictures and look forward to the transformation.

Pam, it was with a rising sense of anticipation and joy that I went along on your walk with you! Perhaps it was heightened by our season here in PA, when all is still grey and drab but the willows & witch hazel always anticipate the new life arising. It seemed to me all during the WEbcast, that from the first mention of the Garden, that HE was rejoicing and walking and leaping at the prospect of what was to come. Just can’t wait for your next report and pray a double portion of Blessing, discernment & creativity on the works of your hands this week! Dottie

My father was a builder and I spent my growing up years watching things “develop” from the architectual plans being drawn in my fathers home office to walking through the finished rooms with my (decorator) Mom with paint samples and wallpaper books in her hands. There is a sense of “ownership” when you are there for the whole process! Thank you so much for letting us take part through your blog!

What a great idea to have a blog. Have gloves and tools…will travel…I’m ready to help in whatever capacity you need. I LOVE Texas! Isaiah 62:4 has great personal significance for me, as well.

This is wonderful Pam! I still feel you are to write a devotional. Maybe when you are done with this garden the experiences you have with the garden may be what God uses as the main thrust of the devotional. With many blessings!

…I come to Your/His Garden alone, while the dew is still on the foliage…and He walks w/ me and He talks w/ me and He tells me I am His own, and the Joy we share as we tarry there…
“Those who seek Me early shall find Me”…The Garden…it’s a Beautiful Place of Visitation..Thank -you Lord, Thank-you PAM. Yeshua has revealed many wonderful things to me through horticulture…I have great anticipation for more revelation through & in the Garden…Blessings

I am so happy for the garden; have always wanted a garden of my own and have not been able to get one started. I am so ready to volunteer some time if nothing but pulling and raking weeds. Don’t know if I have a green thumb or not but with dead weeds and trash, don’t need a green thumb huh? God bless you Pam as you allow God to unfold the beautiful in this project ahead.
