Keeping You Informed!

Greetings to all of you gardening warriors!

Spring break was a busy time at the Twelve Tribes Garden in Corinth.  On Tuesday, the Next Generation flocked to the garden site and anointed the ground with their efforts.  On Wednesday and Thursday, I was joined by those of my own generation.  We spent some time clearing vines, weeds, and roots from what will soon be Judah’s rose garden.  I’ll be posting pictures and a description of Judah’s area in my next post.  After a few days of nursing sore muscles and catching up on those other chores that always beckon–like laundry–I will be back at the garden site on Wednesday afternoon and most of the day Thursday.  If you have time and energy to spare, please join me after lunch on Wednesday and at ten o’clock on Thursday morning.

I met with a group of people this afternoon at the garden site who will be instrumental in the composting operation and community vegetable garden at Beulah Acres.  It’s amazing how excited folk can get about the whole process of large-scale decomposition for the purpose of enriching soil!  While we were there on the property, we were blessed to see the first fresh, green leaves of the almond trees in Asher’s garden.  Spring really has arrived!

Blessings to you all!

Pam, how wonderful to read your update especially the part about composting. Are you interested in acquiring a biodigester, enabling the composting to turn into black gold within days and giving you the ability to use another exponent as fuel? I have recently contacted a young man in Virginia, working at the university, who has this knowledge and is very willing to share it. It would be quite a project/undertaking for a group of young people. Please let me know. maranatha51@comcast.net Blessings, Maria

Pam, Eagerly tagged along on your tour and beginning work with the Next Generation on Tuesday. Specially enjoyed Samuel who evoked happy memories of my son similarly engaged at the age. Can’t wait to see the new pictures! What Zeal which doesn’t come without some acheys, too. Blessings, Dottie

    Dearest Pam
I would be gifting you a Full-Body session with warm towel enhancement if I lived closer to take care of you and your sore muscles.
    Blessings

My energetic wife has compost beds around our house, in out-of-the-way patches of ground that need fertilized to grow grass better, or in flower boxes not in season. It’s the chore of the youngest child to throw in the rinds and peelings of the fresh fruits and vegetables, a significant part of our daily diet. She grows her own veggies – using that compost – in the other beds in the small un-walkable areas next to the house and at the edges of the property. I honor her, her wisdom and energy. This saves both grocery and doctor bills.

But the reason I bring it up here is the jingle she often heard as a child. Her grandfather, who was originally Old Order Amish before he moved onto a more alive group with his children, often repeated this. I thought y’all might like it for a meditation as you plant there:

    Kind hearts are the Garden,
    Kind thoughts are the root,
    Kind words are the blossoms,
    Kind deeds are the fruit.

We bless you as you move forward, to “prosper and be in good health.”

I enjoyed digging in the dirt at Beulah Acres last Thursday. Looking forward to another opportunity. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge and the vision for Beulah Acres. Can’t wait to see what God has in store! Blessings to all 😉

    Dear Pam and all,
It was such a joy to read about the roses being planted. I am not supersticious or cultic, but I do believe that St. Teresa promised that she would shower the earth with roses forever. This timing is so perfect and so needed. Even St. Teresa rejoices. These fragrant, beautiful gifts from the hand of the Lord are so fitting for the Judah section…may their fragrance and beauty be a gift back to heaven as a sign of our praise and worship arising to Yesuah.
