  1. I was taught in my church that wind chimes are not good for us Christians because they were made to expel the evil spirits. I am open for rebuke if I am wrong; please can you explain to me why you would feel that is OK because I am confused now. Shirley

    • In some cultures, wind chimes were believed to ward off spirits. However, they were also used as early warning of intruders, to scare birds away from food crops, and by sailors and farmers to check weather conditions. Some wind chimes actually register a different musical pitch when the barometric pressure changes. More recently, wind chimes have been adapted for use as percussion instruments to add texture to musical compositions. Ultimately, they create a melodic, musical sound when touched by the wind, and God created both the wind and music. So, we choose to enjoy the sound as a gift regardless of how some cultures have chosen to pervert their use. And you are free to choose for yourself based on your own convictions. Bless you.

  2. Thank you for clearing this for me, I always thought that sometimes we were taught too much on the religious side. I’ve always loved them and the sound they make. But when you are raised a certain way it’s hard for us to see differently until someone that we can trust explains it to us properly. I trust your Ministry and this is why I ask you. I know that you are sensitive to the Spirit of the Lord on these things. I wish I was closer to Glory of Zion Ministries. I would be attending it, you have some great teaching. Again thank you for clearing this for me. Signed, Relieved
